Safety at every turn
The typical Hodge safety and control system illustrates how we
design safety elements into every phase of a project.
- The motorized hydraulic pump unit supplies pressurized oil to
the lock-unlock cylinders thought he manual interlock safety.
- The manually operated interlocking safety device prevents pressurization
of the vessel until the door is fully locked.
- Conversely, the interlocking safety device prevents unlocking
the door until the internal pressure of the vessel is relieved
to 0 PSI. It also prevents hydraulic oil from going to the lock-unlock
cylinders unless the pressure in the vessel is relieved.
- The limit switch is interlocked with the pressurizing controls
to prevent pressurization until the door is fully locked.
- The pressure sensitive switch will not allow the motorized pump
set to operate while there is any residual pressure in the vessel.
